A police raid has led to the discovery of an alleged huge cannabis farm in Derbyshire.
Officers from Belper and Alfreton converged on a property in Ironville on Wednesday, December 16, to serve a warrant.
After gaining entry to the building, police allegedly found multiple rooms being used to grow the drug, with plants in varying stages of production.
Police say the alleged drugs seized have an estimated value of more than £1 million and have described it as one of the largest finds in the area in recent times.
Officers say two men have been arrested.
Details of the raid were shared by officers on the Alfreton Police SNT Facebook page.
In a post they wrote: "Thanks to us receiving good local information over the past few weeks your Alfreton areas SNT team with a little help from Belper SNT entered a building in Ironville yesterday to find a cannabis grow.
"The grow, one of the largest discovered locally in recent times was at different stages of production from nursery to bags ready for the streets.
"Estimated value is upwards of £1 million. Two males were arrested at the scene and have been remanded while investigations are continuing."
