Active Closed Loop system - pneumatic pump?

I've been in the extraction game for a while and was looking to start upgrading and maybe start building a closed loop system. I've researched for quite a bit on different setups and methods and whatnot and never could understand why people are using electrical pumps at all in the process of moving butane in a system. Now I'm for sure not a chemist, but why are people paying like $2k for a explosion proof pump? I feel like thats overkill if you're only running like a pound at a time. I've... Cannabis news worldwide -- Medical Cannabis – Under Threat?

Medical Cannabis – Under Threat? By Ed Coghlan. Ellen and Stu Smith live in Scituate, Rhode Island. They are champions for the use of medical cannabis for chronic pain. The two advocates are concerned—they see two threats on the horizon for people who use medical cannabis to address their chronic pain issues. One is US Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the Justice Department which they believe is trying to turn the clock back by cracking down on any use of marijuana. The second threat is the growing acceptance of recreational marijuana which becomes legal in the nation’s biggest state next week—and will be legal in eight states and the District of Columbia. Federal Government “The Administration is not supportive for the use of medical cannabis, in fact Attorney General Sessions is threatening to shut people down who use it,” said Ellen Smith. She’s 67 years old, suffers from the connective tissue disorder Ehlers Danlos and has been using medical cannabis since it became leg

Cannabis news worldwide -- Peru Legalizes Medical Marijuana

Peru Legalizes Medical Marijuana In one of the latest moves to legalize marijuana, the president of Peru signed a bill in mid-November that legalized medical cannabis across the country. The move came just weeks after the Peruvian Congress voted in favor of the bill, and now, residents can legally possess, sell, and transport cannabis for medical purposes. Though, it’s still illegal to grow it. Moving forward, the Peruvian government will develop a list of official importers and marijuana growers who will supply the nation’s medical marijuana patients with products. Approved medical conditions include Parkinson’s cancer, epilepsy, and other chronic or terminal illnesses. “We’re very happy with the fact that Peruvian law has approved this,” said marijuana advocate Ana Alvarez in an interview with  The Guardian . “But we’re not totally satisfied.” http://www.dopemagazine.com/wp-content/u...68x393.jpg 768w, http://www.dopemagazine.com/wp-content/u...24x524.jpg 1024w, http://www.dope

The Cops and Politicians Joining Canada’s Cannabis Business

As Canada moves towards legalising recreational cannabis, there's a surprising group of entrepreneurs jumping into the market: cops and politicians. In 2015, former Toronto police chief Julian Fantino was "completely opposed" to marijuana legalisation and supported mandatory jail time for minor cannabis offences. Mr Fantino, who was also a Cabinet minister in the former Conservative government, criticised the now governing-Liberals' plan to legalise the drug, saying it would make smoking marijuana "a normal, everyday activity… from Cannabis Culture http://www.cannabisculture.com/content/2017/12/30/cops-politicians-joining-canadas-cannabis-business

Cannabis news worldwide -- Debate over licenses to grow medical marijuana

Debate over licenses to grow medical marijuana TALLAHASSE, Fla. (CAPITOL NEWS SERVICE) - A circuit court has blocked the Florida Department of Health from issuing a medical marijuana growing license reserved for black farmers. The lawsuit stopped the department from issuing other licenses, but marijuana advocates hope the decision will now allow the department to issue at least five other licenses. State law required at least one medical marijuana license go to a member of the Black Farmers Association, but a circuit court judge has blocked the license. The ruling found because the law required an applicant to be a member of a specific association, it unconstitutionally favored a private corporation. Jeff Sharkey with the Medical Marijuana Business Association says the Black Farmers Association prevented other black farmers who otherwise would have qualified for the license from joining. "And in fact discriminated against other black farmers," said Sharkey. At leg

Make This Cannabis-Infused Cannoli Cream

Cannoli are generally recognized as a delicious dessert. They’re as Sicilian as it gets, which is to say originally Arabic, then adopted and perfected by the melodramatic people of that arid paradise. He talked about sourcing seeds, harvesting and marketing hemp products just weeks after Gov. Scott Walker signed a bill legalizing its production in Wisconsin. Strohfus said he’s been getting at least two calls a day from Wisconsin farmers who have heard about hemp bringing more profit than traditional crops. “I’m hopeful that the excitement is not generated by a false sense of opportunity financially,” said Strohfus. “I think hemp can be a good cash crop, can ce
