Police have discovered a £500,000 crop of cannabis plants after storming a Glasgow warehouse.
A man has been arrested in connection after the huge haul was discovered in Fairley Street, Govan, on Tuesday.
Officers carried out a search of an industrial premises and discovered the plants, which are believed to be worth half a million pounds.
The 19-year-old was arrested and charged following the recovery and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
A report will also be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Inspector Scott Simpson at Govan Police Station said: “We will act on information and concerns that we receive from people living in the local community about drugs supply and continue to disrupt those involved in the supply of drugs.
“I would urge anyone with information about drugs in their local area to contact their local police office via telephone number 101, or alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
