Qwiso, question about quality versus yield

So i have made qwiso 3 times now. My quality has gotten much better but my yield much worse, am i washing too quickly? Or is it just the nature of Qwiso that the better you make the less the yield unless u wash longer and tolerate more chlorophyll? I find now my first run is carmel colored, consistency of good wax, and smokes like BHO but my second run is dark and tastes a little like smoking resin, still potent but not very enjoyable.
