the whole closed loop thing is a pita. There is no reason for butane to be expensive, propane is cheap and has added products and to get pure propane is even more expensive than butane? Ever see a petrol refinery? all the fire coming out those stacks has alot of butane in it. its a waste product they have more butane than they can store so they just burn it 24 hours a day..
